Entrepreneurship requires constant evolution. What worked five years ago or even last year may not be enough today. For Marlo Fogelman, staying curious and being willing to figure things out has helped her navigate more than two decades of entrepreneurship and some of the biggest transformations the marketing industry has ever experienced.
In this episode of A Founder’s Life, Leo Gestetner sits down with Marlo Fogelman, Founder and CEO of marlo marketing, to discuss entrepreneurship, marketing, artificial intelligence, leadership, personal development, and why curiosity may be one of the most valuable skills a founder can develop.
Marlo Fogelman is the Founder and CEO of marlo marketing, an integrated marketing communications agency based in Boston serving hospitality, food and beverage, CPG, and lifestyle brands across the United States.
Originally trained as a lawyer, Marlo earned a master’s degree in international relations and passed the bar exams in both New York and Massachusetts before an unexpected opportunity introduced her to public relations. Early in her marketing career, she took over the Starbucks New England account, turned the struggling relationship around within three months, and eventually brought Starbucks with her when she launched her own company.
More than two decades later, Marlo Marketing has evolved from its PR roots into an integrated agency spanning brand strategy, social media, digital marketing, influencer marketing, fractional CMO services, and generative engine optimization. Marlo’s philosophy is rooted in curiosity, continuous evolution, and a willingness to figure things out rather than relying solely on what worked in the past.
